Here are some recent pictures of our
wonderful Japanese Chin! |
 This
is Chin-Chin, our first Chin. We got him in 2001, a rescue from a Pet Shop in Brooklyn,
NY. The owner claimed to have breed him at his home/store but reality he was bred in
Minnesota, sold to a broker, sold to the Pet Shop, and then sold to me. When we got him,
he was unable to eat or even drink on his own. |
 Here
is Mikado. We got him from a reputable Japanese Chin breeder (Faith Milton in
Gettysburg, PA). We acquired him in January of 2002. He took a 3-point Major from the
Puppy Class in his first weekend out at a Dog Show. Unfortunately, the next day one of his
testicles went back up into his body and never descended again - so we could no longer
show him. |
 And here
is Ebi - we got her in Aug 2002 when she was 1 years old from Pat Suggs and Janice Say in
Shelbyville, KY. Ebi was the first Chin we took to Championship. She was also the first
female we used for breeding. She has produced wonderful and Show Chin and Pet Chin. |
Ki Shoubi is also from Faith Milton. We got her
in April 2003. In her first litter she had SIX puppies. She was a good Mother to her
puppies, but she needed help from us to make sure all six puppies were getting enough
food. It took a lot of work (and love), but all six puppies made it and are doing well
today. |
Here is our Oreo - She is the offspring of our first
breeding (Mikado and Ebi). She is only one win away from her Championship. |
 Myougi
is our first Red and White, from Dale Martensen in Texas. We got him as a puppy in July
2004. He became our second Champion and is one of our main stud dogs. We have used him to
produce many beautiful Japanese Chin puppies. |
 One
of Ki Shoubi's six puppies mentioned earlier, Oshii Son is another of our Show Dogs. He
was also bred to Ebi and one of their daughters is also a Show Dog. |
Another of Ki Shoubi's six puppies, Gosai is our
first (and so far, only) sable. He is quite a jumper and has caused us to buy taller and
taller gates to use when we separate the boys from the girls in heat. |
And again, another of Ki Shoubi's six puppies -
Braveheart. She got her name because she was born with her intestines on the outside of
her body (if you seen the movie Braveheart, you will understand the connection). We
thought she would not make it, but the vet put the intestines back inside of her and sewed
her up, and she is doing well.
She is our first tri-color and is only one major win away from her Championship. She
recently (in May) gave birth to three Red and White puppies (Myougi, a Red and White, was
the father of the puppies). |
And this is the last of Ki Shoubi's six puppies
that we kept (we placed the other two). Tenshi is a beautiful girl, and would have been a
Show Dog except she has her tongue hanging out of the left side of her mouth. Because of
this, we could not show her and will not breed her because we don't want to pass this
trait on. |
